U.S. Commercial Service Nigeria wishes inform NUSA members and the Nigerian business community of a recent trend. There has been an increase of fraud and scams by individuals intending to defraud unsuspecting NUSA members and other business owners. This includes impersonation using names and titles of Commercial Service personnel, demanding payments for business services such as introduction to U.S. companies.
Please note that our only fee-based services for Nigerian clients are NUSA membership and trade show participation. These payments are directly through the bank. Email communication from the Commercial Service will come from an @trade.gov address.
We advise that you continue to follow guidance only from our official channels and Commercial Specialists per the list on our website: https://www.buyusa.gov/nigeria/contactus/index.asp. If you suspect that you have been fraudulently contacted, please advise our office.

The United States Commercial Service (CS) is the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration. The U.S. Commercial Service office in Nigeria is located at the American Consulate General in Lagos. We are available to assist you in finding U.S. partners and suppliers of the goods and services that you are seeking. Whether you are planning a one-off purchase or to establish a long-term business relationship with a U.S. firm, we will be happy to make that happen for you!

Business Service Providers Directory
The Business Service Providers (BSP) directory is an on-line tool designed to help U.S. companies identify professional service providers to assist them in the assessment, completion, and/or financing of an export transaction. The directory is featured on our Export.gov website, which targets U.S. companies and includes local firms that offer services in such areas as law, accounting/banking, market research, business consulting, marketing/public relations and advertising, travel services, hotel services and logistics.
