Ground Support Equipment Industry

Munich – Mark your calendar and don’t miss the best event for ground support equipment (GSE) in the European market! inter airport Europe 2017, the international exhibition for airport equipment, technology, design and services, takes place October 10-13, in Munich, Germany. The 21st edition of the biennial trade show will be held at the Munich Trade Fair Center, a great venue that offers first class halls and an extensive outdoor area. inter airport Europe 2017 represents the entire airport industry, with exhibits ranging from solutions for ground handling, terminal operations, airport IT and airport design.

Nicola Hamann, managing director of the organizer, Mack Brooks Exhibitions, states: “At present, airport operators are facing the challenge to implement a comprehensive overall IT infrastructure which is extending the usage of IT across all areas of the airport. Now, the focus is on the interconnection of all processes, for example passenger handling, maintenance operations, cargo management as well as various other terminal and airfield operations.” A key topic is IT integration. Hamann explains that the “integration of IT interfaces with airlines and other service providers within the airport and, beyond that, across various airports, is the next step forward. The interconnected airport is therefore the future vision of the airport industry, which is opening up various new possibilities in the airport industry. The solutions for this new concept range from apps for passengers as well as airport employees to cloud-based systems for the planning and forecasting of passenger flows.” The previous event in 2015 was bigger than ever, with 676 exhibitors from 40 countries and 12,700 trade visitors from 110 countries, representing an increase of 5.5% and 7% over 2013 respectively. inter airport Europe 2017 will cover the following areas:
