International Company Profile Report Overview
Objective
The International Company Profile (ICP) provides the customer with detailed information on a specific company to help the customer determine its suitability as a potential export partner. The information is gathered from foreign company with its cooperation, and/or from publicly available sources.
Deliverables
- To the extent ascertainable, complete business contact information for the company and key officer(s), business size and sales figures, corporate structure, customer, supplier and bank references, competitors, credit rating, profit and loss numbers and the Commercial Specialist opinion on the overall viability of the firm in its market.
- In rare cases, a foreign firm that has been contacted by the Commercial Specialist may not be willing to provide information about itself. In these cases, the ICP report will provide information on the overseas firm from publicly available secondary sources.
- The Commercial Specialist may find that little information about a firm is available, or that it has no stable address, telephone, business connections, suppliers, etc. In such instances, the Commercial Specialist will report that the firm is an unsuitable contact.
- Standard delivery time is 15 business days from receipt of payment. An expedited service may be available for an additional fee. If there is a delay of the report for unforeseen reasons, the Commercial Specialist will contact the customer to discuss a new delivery date.
Price
The customer can place the order for an ICP report through a United States Trade Representative (USTR) outside Yemen. The fee for an ICP report is USD 590. The U.S. Commercial Office in Yemen will proceed with the ICP report once the payment is confirmed by a USTR.
Commercial Office Responsibilities
- Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact and respond in a timely manner to all the customer’s inquiries to ensure that he has a complete understanding of the customer’s expectations. The customer will be offered all available delivery options – via email, fax, or courier.
- Contact all appropriate sources to gather as much relevant information as possible and to ensure that the report is comprehensive.
- Carefully screen the foreign company to determine its suitability as a contact in the relevant market. The Commercial Specialist will contact a telephone interview and, if feasible, visit the foreign company.
- Follow up with the customer to ensure satisfaction with the ICP report, focusing on its relevance, timeliness, and accuracy.
Making the Most of Your ICP
Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us and we want to make sure we are meeting your expectations. In order for us to do this and deliver a quality ICP, we ask that you:
- Communicate specific needs and interests to the domestic USTR and/or the Commercial Specialist in Yemen.
- Provide timely responses to email and queries from Commercial Specialist working on the ICP.
- Ask any questions or concerns as they arise.
