Program Focus
This two-day seminar will concentrate solely on U.S. export licensing and control regulations pertaining to aircraft/parts and related technology transfer. The seminar will include procedures and developments from the U.S. Dept. of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Dept. of Defense’s Defense Technology Security Administration, and the U.S. Dept. of State’s Office of Defense Trade Controls regarding licensing procedures. Instructors for this course are senior officers and technical program specialists from each of these agencies in Washington D.C.
Among the topics to be included:
- Establishing jurisdiction—is my item subject to State Department or Commerce Department licensing regulations?
- The essential elements of a good license application
- Country specific policies
- Technologies with high national security interest
- Helpful hints on making your case to the government
- Role of the Department of Defense
- Discussions on other relevant items, including: repair facilities, joint ventures, re-exports, subsystems— engines, castings, composites, missile technology control regime
- Your role in helping the government keep the regulations consistent with the real world environment.
Note: This program is an advanced licensing seminar and is suited for those already versed in the basics of export controls
