What is HomSec?

HomSec 2008 is an international point of reference in Spain in the fields of Global Security, Protection and Defense , including terrorism, organized crime and large scale natural and human disasters. To deal with these threats, security law enforcement and civil protection forces as well as the armed forces must be equipped with the latest methods in order to detect and prevent, as well as neutralize and deal with such threats as quickly as possible.

• Trade Fair specifically devoted to the application of technology for the Security and Protection of the National Territory and Society (Homeland Security).

• HomSec is open to manufacturing companies and product suppliers, systems and services derived from these technologies, and the research organisms that develop these.

• The first edition of HomSec took place in Madrid on January 9 -12, 2007 with more than 150 specialized exhibitors and over three thousand visiting professionals.

HomSec 2008 will also host international conferences that will be held in conjunction with the exhibition to address new risks/threats and the security and technological responses to them.
