Government and private sector initiatives to develop technological parks, combined with the increase Internet usage in Uruguay, continue to fuel hardware imports. There is no local production of hardware. Modernization in public offices requires technological upgrades, and private sector investment in technology is on the rise. Current trends are encouraging for the hardware sector. This report reviews the Uruguayan Hardware and accessories from the perspective of its potential for U.S. exports.
