Market potential for Airport and Ground Support equipment is moderate in 2007, but should be higher in 2008 due to the construction of a brand new international airport terminal in the capital city of Montevideo. Uruguay only has two passenger airports with scheduled commercial flights. In spite of several attempts, the relatively small size of the country has made internal passenger transportation unfeasible. Combined, the two airports move 1.3 million passengers and 30,000 tons of cargo per year.
