Uruguay has practically no local production of lawn & garden equipment with the exception of garden furniture and accessories such as pots and decorations. Brazil is the main supplier of overall lawn & garden equipment, followed by the U.S. and China especially for power tools and lawn mowers. In the hand tools sub-sector, imports from Brazil and China are expected to continue predominating, as the segment shows a trend toward in-expensive/low quality imports.
