On April 3 and 4, 2006 CS Montevideo hosted "EXPO USA-Region MERCOSUR", a Multi-State Catalog Exhibition. The Show offered U.S. firms valuable exposure and business contacts in three markets with potential for U.S. products: Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. The show held in Montevideo promoted U.S. product literature, video presentations and other audiovisuals to over 200 visitors. Besides the participation of almost 130 U.S. firms recruited by the Department of Commerce, the exhibition also displayed catalogs from another 40-plus companies brought to the show by the Economic Development Offices of the States of Colorado and Mississippi. The event represented a cooperative initiative between the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service and partnering state economic development agencies.
