School Bio: At Lynn University you’ll find an ideal setting for personal and intellectual growth. It all begins with our commitment to provide each student with the academic foundation for lifelong learning. Our programs of study are built upon the liberal arts and strengthened by a wealth of hands-on learning experiences—through internships, community service projects, study abroad or student teaching. What’s more, Lynn University is small by design, providing you the best-possible environment for interacting with your professors and fellow students.
Learning at Lynn is a global phenomenon—starting with your classmates. Our 2,510 students represent 46 states and more than 90 nations, making us a leader among universities our size in terms of international enrollment. And the cross-cultural experiences continue with faculty-led international study programs offered in a variety of countries each year. Right away, in the week prior to the second semester of your freshman year, you’ll participate in a one-of-a-kind Academic Adventure. You’ll spend seven days in the Caribbean aboard a ship with the entire freshman class, studying the cultures and people of the places you visit. Later, you’ll be required to participate in a study abroad program, with dozens of options to choose from. Lynn’s popular program at our sister institution, American College Dublin, in Ireland is one example. Lynn is known for personalized education. Offering an array of tutoring, counseling and workshops, our Institute for Achievement and Learning helps our students to take full advantage of their individual learning styles. And our Honors Program offers qualified students a rigorous, mind-stretching challenge to thrive in their studies.
The Lynn campus is a vibrant place. More than half of undergraduates live in our up-to-date residence halls. Through our 29 student organizations and clubs you’ll gain leadership skills and lifelong friendships. And, you’ll find exciting championship sports at Lynn. Our NCAA Division II athletic program has won 18 national championships to date!
Beyond campus, Boca Raton and the surrounding area offer exceptional restaurants, museums, festivals, concerts, parks, professional sports, shopping and entertainment. You’ll soon see why our location on South Florida’s Gold Coast—minutes from the Atlantic Ocean and within easy driving distance to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Walt Disney World and the Florida Keys—is one of the most desirable in the world.
