The U.S. Commercial Service office, American Embassy in Thailand will bring to your attention, the world’s largest air show, Farnborough International Airshow or “FIA”, to be held from July 9-15, 2012 in the United Kingdom.
In addition to being the world’s largest air show, FIA is the key event for U.S. aerospace and defense suppliers to showcase their latest technologies and products. Key facts from the previous FIA in 2010 include:
- 120,000 trade visitors over five days
- 1,455 exhibitors from 40 countries
- 107,498 sqm. of exhibition space sold
- 22 international pavilions and eight national pavilions
- 70 delegations from 44 countries
- 152 aircraft participated both on static display and flying

FIA 2012 will again feature a U.S. Pavilion under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Companies participating in the USA Pavilion are looking to expand overseas, identify international partners, and find new customers.
