From October 31 to November 2, 2008, FCS Bangkok participated in USA Fair 2008, a high profile all US consumer products and services fair organized annually by the U.S. Embassy and the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand. CS Bangkok led the US Embassy team which included the Public Affairs, Consular and Agricultural Sections.  CS Bangkok worked hand in hand with the AMCHAM in planning the event and ensuring the fair’s success for the more than 50 U.S. companies exhibiting during the show.

In addition, during the USA Fair, CS Bangkok managed a separated US Education Catalog Pavilion under the theme “US Education Digital Experience”, with support from Dell Corporation (Thailand) Co. Ltd. and Microsoft (Thailand) Ltd.   Our pavilion showcased brochures and information from 43 US schools and one State Office, together with a display of the latest computer hardware from Dell and educational software from Microsoft.  Students and visitors to our pavilion were able to search and browse schools’ website, using Dell and Microsoft equipment and products, to obtain more detailed information about each school and leave our pavilion with a hard copy of the brochure of the schools of their interest. We were able to generate 846 combined lead inquiries from a total of 132 potential students visited our pavilion.

This year’s show was special in that we are celebrating 175 years of U.S. Thai relations and that served as the theme for this year’s show.
