Conference Synopsis:  This one-day conference will follow up on the February 2010 seminar on “Northern Thailand’s Creative Economy:  Opportunities and Challenges in the IT Sector.” This event aims to:

• improve collaboration among the region's public, private and academic sectors in developing Northern Thailand's competitiveness as a regional and global IT hub; and
• strengthen IT curriculum development among northern Thailand's major universities in order to increase the applied IT skills of students and bolster the North's IT talent pool. 

Key Speakers:  U.S. Ambassador Eric G. John, Chiang Mai Governor Amonrapun Nimanandh, and Florida High Tech Corridor Council President Randy Berridge. 

Target Audience: Universities and private-sector IT firms in northern Thailand, U.S. IT companies active in Thailand such as IBM, Microsoft and Oracle, officials from the Chiang Mai Governor's office, and institutions such as SIPA, NECTEC, NESDB, BOI, and Bank of Thailand.
