Our office in Romania will invite the U.S. civil nuclear industry to join them for a U.S. Industry Promotion Program in Bucharest, Romania. The program has been launched in response to the significant business opportunities Romania offers in the nuclear industry.
The Romanian Government has decided to construct two additional reactors in Cernavoda producing 750 MW of electricty each. The 4 billion euro project is scheduled to be completed in 2015-2016 with additional plans to build another reactor elsewhere.
The U.S. Industry Promotion Program will take place on September 21-22, immediately after the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA's) 53rd General Conference in Vienna, Austria. The purpose of the U.S. Industry Promotion Program is to assemble U.S. nuclear industry capability and develop a platform on which to showcawse this to the Romanian Government.
