In Switzerland, holidays — with the exception of the Swiss National Day — are defined on a cantonal basis. Based on this fact, there are only three further days that are acknowledged everywhere in Switzerland: New Year's Day, Ascension Day and Christmas Day. Of course inofficially there are more holidays that are locally celebrated. Below you will find a list of Swiss Holidays which are celebrated in Berne.
At the U.S. Embassy in Berne, we celebrate the U.S. and the Swiss Holidays.
