Due Diligence Report/Limited Background Check
Because of Swiss privacy laws and the difficulty of obtaining
business sensitive information directly from Swiss companies, CS
Switzerland does not offer the International Company Profile
(ICP). However, to meet U.S. exporters' needs for background
information on prospective partners, CS Switzerland offers the
"due diligence report/limited background check" covered under the
Business Facilitation Service (BFS) program. Under this service,
CS Switzerland provides information that is strictly limited to
factual information obtained from the Swiss Trade Registry and a
translated report from the debt enforcement agency. The cantonal
credit report indicates whether or not the company has any
unresolved credit issues and/or pending legal issues. CS
Switzerland does not contact the Swiss company. The fee for this
service is USD 400 (USD 250 if client is a NTE SME and has never
used CS fee-based services previously). CS Switzerland also
covers the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Trade Complaints for U.S. Companies
CS Switzerland may provide assistance to individual U.S.
companies on trade complaints, including late payment and
collections issues (see separate listing for Trade Complaints
involving Collection Agencies), if Post determines that CS
involvment is appropriate, a U.S. export or local U.S. business
interest is at stake, and resources are available. If Post
accepts the case, services will follow the standard regulations
for trade complaints and focus primarily on facilitating
communications between the U.S. company and the Swiss company.
Services may include reviewing the complaint and follwing up with
an official phone call and/or written correspondence at no charge
to verify the local company understands the issue and has corect
contact infromation for the U.S. frim. After the first contact,
further actions require a BFS agreement. Once CS exhausts the
limited capabilities it may have to address collections issues,
then Post may provide a list of local private sector lawyers or
local collection agencies.
Price: $0 for initial contact; upon receipt of $100 for additional work

Trade Complaints for Collection Agencies
CS Switzerland may provide limited assistance on collections
issues if Post determines that CS involvment is appropriate, a
U.S. export or local U.S. business interest is at stake, and
resources are available. If Post decides to accept the case,
services will follow the standard regulations for trade
complaints and focus primarily on facilitating communications
between the U.S. collection agency and the Swiss company. Given
that the claim has already been referred to a collection agency,
CS Switzerland assumes that multiple contacts will be required
and therefore will only accept the case with a participation
agreement. Services that may be provided are reviewing the
complaint and following up with offical phone calls and/or
written correspondence. Once CS exhausts the limited capabilities
it may have to address collections issues, then Post may provide
a list of local private sector laywers or local collection
agencies.
Price: upon receipt of $300
