Participate in the Farnborough Airshow !
With just over a month to go until the Farnborough International
Airshow, there is still time to join us and participate in our
programs for U.S. companies. About a dozen USCS specialists
already plan to attend this year, including colleagues from the
ShowCase Europe team and from our ODO Aerospace team. Farnborough
features over 1,480 exhibitors from 35 countries, and is the
largest aviation event outside the U.S. this year.
With a large, USDOC-certified U.S. Pavilion, the show represents
a major international opportunity for U.S. companies. Around $42
billion in orders were announced at the event in 2006, including
$550 million in business aviation orders, and the show is
increasingly recognized as a showcase for the civil aerospace
industry. Our programs at Farnborough this year include ShowTime,
seminars on REACH and Doing Business with NATO, and a half-day
workshop on U.S. export controls, with speakers from BIS, DoD,
and State. These are provided at no charge to U.S. firms, and
specialists are welcome to attend.
For those who have not yet signed up for Showtime:
If you are considering attending Farnborough, the only Tier One event for the ShowCase Europe aerospace team, please let us know as soon as possible. We are holding hotel rooms for specialists who wish to attend, but will need to confirm or release these by cob Friday, July 13. For SCOs that may still be considering sending a team member, please note that we have limited the essential Showtime activities to a very full one-day program as we are aware that travel funds may be an issue for some posts. If you would like to talk further about the show, or require any additional details, please do not hesitate to give us a call, or contact Carlos Perezminguez on +34 91 308 1598 / email.
