Nine South Carolina firms were recognized for their export achievements at the S.C. Global Business Forum held on April 24 in Columbia. In addition, the Midlands International Trade Association and Deidre Crow with the City of Columbia were presented Certificates of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade. USDOC’s Deputy Assistant Secretary Paul Dyck presented the awards. Below is a listing of the certificate recipients and their achievements.
The U.S. Commerce Department’s Export Achievement Certificate recognizes companies that are business clients of the Commerce Department’s U.S. Commercial Service, and that have used their services to make their first export sale or open new foreign markets. The Certificate of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade recognizes trade associations, government agencies, and other qualified recipients for supporting U.S. export development and for creating opportunities for U.S businesses through trade.
