The Africa Aerospace & Defense Show (AAD) is an important biennial event in the international aerospace and defense industry. For the 2006 show (19-22 September), Commercial Service South Africa took a booth in the U.S. Pavilion and conducted Aerospace Executive Services (AES) for American companies. 12 US companies had booths or chalets at the show. The U.S. Commercial Service booth at the show was used for several meetings between U.S. companies and South African organizations. In particular, Boeing used the booth for a high-level meeting with Minister Alec Erwin of the South African Department of Public Enterprises and a delegation from his department.
