Multi-State Catalog Exhibition Program

Objective

The Multi-State Catalog Exhibition Program helps U.S. companies gain overseas market exposure for their products and/or services and identify potential customers and trading partners. The program allows U.S. companies to exhibit their products and/or services without ever leaving their offices by displaying their product literature to hundreds of interested business prospects at a wide range of overseas markets. Following the catalog exhibitions, U.S. Commercial Service and representatives of state development agencies send trade leads directly to U.S. companies participating in the program.

Price

$450 for individual U.S. firms who wish to participate in the program through direct application with the U.S. Commercial Service; $4,500 for state economic development agencies which participate as partners with the Commercial Service.

Multi-State Catalog Exhibition Program Overview

Companies participating in the Multi-State Catalog Exhibition Program will receive:

  • High-profile exposure to overseas business representatives recruited to review the literature of participating U.S. firms at each event location;
  • A list of all business visitors who expressed interest in the U.S. firm's products or services, including the name and address of company, name and title of the key contact, and important contact information, including a company's email address, and telephone and fax numbers;
  • For an additional fee, access to an optional "Speed Lead" service designed for companies wishing to have trade leads sent to them while the event is still in progress.

State partners participating in the Multi-State Catalog Exhibition Program will receive:

  • An opportunity to promote their client firms' literature to business representatives at each event location;
  • Information to assist them in their recruitment activities, including market highlights, lists of best prospects, and electronic files containing names and contact information of prospective participants;
  • Arrangements for exhibition facilities, signage, hotel reservations, market briefings, and hospitality functions.

Quality Assurances

The U.S. Commercial Service Assures that the Commercial Service and participating state agencies will promote client companies' product literature in foreign markets, collect trade leads, and send the leads to the participating U.S. companies.

Client Obligations

Clients are required to provide their product and/or service literature to the relevant overseas Commercial Service offices in a timely fashion so that these materials can be distributed at the catalog shows. In addition, although not required, clients are encouraged to undertake timely follow-up on trade leads that are generated from their participation in the program to maximize their benefit from the program.

Please contact the Multi-State Catalog Exhibition Program Manager if any of these quality assurances have not been met.
