The Silicon Valley Center for International Trade Development
(SVCITD), hosted by West Valley The Silicon Valley Center for
International Trade Development (SVCITD), hosted by West Valley
Community College in Saratoga, CA, will offer an insightful and
informative program on July 13th covering solar opportunities and
challenges in the emerging markets of Latin America, Caribbean
and Africa. Organized as part of the pre-conference series
of Intersolar North America, the most diverse international
business-to-business trade show in the United States for the
global solar industry, this seminar will bring together industry
and government leaders with firsthand experience in these growing
markets. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain
insight into these new markets, ask questions of the speakers and
network with each other about potential market development.
The SVCITD is dedicated to helping California firms explore
international market opportunities. As the U.S. solar
sector matures and develops exciting technologies, many companies
are looking offshore for new business. This seminar
provides an excellent way to explore three major regions in a
single morning session. In addition to sponsoring this
seminar, the SVCITD provides free or low cost counseling and
other services to companies entering international markets.
A trade mission to Chile to explore renewable energy market
opportunities in the fall is currently being planned.
The Emerging Solar Markets Seminar will be held Monday, July 13,
2009 at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco, CA. The
Intersolar North America will be held July 13 to July 16, 2009 at
the Mosone Center located close by the Intercontinental
Hotel.
