REGISTRATION PROCESS:

2. When is the deadline for reserving my spot?

The deadline to register is November 20.  The US Catalog Pavilion is oversubscribed. Please complete the questionnaire thoroughly.  Download the questionnaire at the following link:

www.buyusa.gov/qatar/en/112.doc

Your inputs will form the directory listing of US publishing companies at the US Pavillion, and we will distribute your information to all show visitors.  Please wait until you receive the questionnaire and use it so we can merge the data fields.

Please send back your questionnaire to the following e-mail recipients:

dao.le@N0SPAM.mail.doc.gov

golda.agnazata@N0SPAM.mail.doc.gov

anissa.lahreche@N0SPAM.mail.doc.gov

3.  Once I submit my questionnaire, is my participation in the book fair automatic?

Participation in this catalog show is limited.  Submitting the questionnaire does not guarantee participation in the Doha Book Fair Catalog Show.  Once we have reviewed your information, we will provide e-mail confirmation of your participation and send a link for on-line payment.

The U.S. Commercial Service reserves the right to screen and restrict titles based on content deemed appropriate to the local market.  We can only accept titles that are professionally published and from registered entities within the United States.

PAYMENT:

4.  How much does it cost to participate in the U.S. Pavilion?

The U.S. Commerce Department has been able to secure a Pavilion at a partially-subsidized rate, bringing the cost savings to the U.S. publisher.   For only $100, you can showcase your hit titles and test this market.

5.  How do I make payment to the US Commercial Service?

Once your publications are approved, you will receive a weblink that will be a participation agreement on-line.  Fill out the participation agreement form and fax it directly to our attention.

To make payment, fax us your credit card information to our secure number (+974 488-4163).   In your fax letter, include your credit card information using the following format:

-  Name of the Credit Card holder (as it appears on the credit card)

-  Name of Your Company

12.  How will my publications be transported and treated pre-, during, and post- the Doha International Book Fair?

When the US Embassy mail room receives your publications, we will carefully transport them to the Doha International Convention Center a day before the event. We are trying right now to see if there is a way to have an extended showing of your publications after the event, perhaps at the US Embassy.

While some publishers may be interested in having their publications sent back to them, please understand that this is a promotional event to a new market; it may be cost prohibitive for the US Embassy to send everyone's hit titles back. The idea is to build brand awareness of your hit titles and allow for prospective buyers to come view them first-hand following the event.
