U.S. publishing companies have a new, economical tool to help them find potential buyers and partners around the world. Commercial News USA, the official export promotion magazine of the U.S. Department of Commerce, is planning an “American Publishers Guide” special edition of the magazine.
The Commercial News USA special edition will be published in time for distribution in advance of the Frankfurt Book Fair, October 14-18, 2009. The 2009 edition will include 25,000 copies.
The guide offers U.S. publishers an unparalleled opportunity to reach pre-qualified buyers. Ten thousand copies of the guide will be direct mailed to prospective buyers who have been screened by the U.S. Commercial Service. In addition, 10,000 copies will be distributed during the Frankfurt Book Fair and an additional 5,000 copies will be distributed at other future events, such as the London Book Fair and Book Expo America.
Participating in this special edition of Commercial News USA is very affordable. American publishers can place quarter-page listing ads for just $899, or eighth- page listing ads for just $499. Display ads are also available .
In addition to U.S. publishers, publishing industry service providers are also invited to participate in the guide.
Participants will benefit from the expertise of the U.S. Commercial Service’s Publishing Team, the industry’s primary export promotion resource. The Publishing Team will help participants leverage their exposure in the guide with other matchmaking and pre-show promotional programs.
A special web page also will be developed in order to make an online version of the guide accessible to a larger audience of prospective buyers and partners. Participants in the guide will receive a free basic listing online.
