International Franchise Expo 2010 (April 9 - 11, Washington, DC)

The International Franchise Expo is the largest and most important annual trade show in the world for the franchising industry, featuring more than 300 franchise exhibitors, with investments ranging from US $5,000 to US $ 1 million. Attendees have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with executives of the exhibiting franchisors and to attend free seminars as well as other symposia sessions from the world’s leading franchise experts. The IFE 2009 event attracted 38 total IBP delegations, 24 escorted and 14 unescorted delegations. Total international attendance for the 2009 event was 1,308 attendees from 66 countries.

Target Audience

The target audience is individual entrepreneurs or small and medium sized enterprises interested in acquiring a franchise business as a master licensee, area developer, or sub-franchisee.   At IFE 2010, international investors will have the opportunity to meet with the decision makers from hundreds of franchising companies from the U.S. and other countries.

International Buyer Program

The International Franchise Expo has been accepted into the US Department of Commerce's (DOC) International Buyer Program.  The International Buyer Program (IBP) brings together international buyers and US firms by promoting leading U.S. trade shows in industries with high export potential. Participation in the IBP can be beneficial to both international attendees and exhibiting companies whose goal is to sell in the global marketplace.

The International Franchise Expowill be promoted via U.S. embassies, consulates and Commercial Service Posts worldwide.  The IBP will also survey exhibitors and international delegates regarding their purchasing and selling interests in order to match exhibitors with prospective buyers.
