EXTEMIN 2007, the most comprehensive mining-related exhibition in Latin America, is an international tradeshow organized in Peru for the Mining Industry that will bring the main suppliers of goods and services from all over the world.

With a share of 6% of GDP, the mining industry continues to lead Peruvian economic growth. The sector exported US$ 9.8 billion in 2005 representing 60% of total exports. Main products include copper, gold, iron, lead, silver, tin, zinc and molybdenum. The Ministry of Energy and Mines projects US$ 7 billion investments in mining for 2006-2011.

The U.S is ranked first among mining equipment suppliers with a 38% market share of exports to Peru. Best prospects include: underground winding gear; lifting, loading and unloading machinery (conveyors, excavators, etc), underground cars, bulldozers, loader shovels, tunnel boring machines, boring or sinking machinery, parts for boring or sinking machinery, rock breaking machinery, pneumatic compactors, tractors and trucks.
