EXECUTING MECHANICAL WORK ON AN EXISTING 97M DIAMETER DOUBLE DECK FLOATING ROOF TANKS FACILITIES

Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), the national hydrocarbon exploration and production company of Oman, invites companies specializing in the above work to bids for the formal pre-selection process.

Deadline for bid submission is 11:30 a.m. on June 30, 2004.

The scope of work consists of the following:

• Replacement of existing bottom plates (6 mm thick)
• Application of GRE coating in the new base plate
• Fabrication of new nozzles

Interested companies must fulfill the following criteria:

• At least 10 years experience in floating tanks design, repair and construction
• Must have constructed above ground floating roof storage tanks of greater than 20 meters in diameter.
• An established Health, Safety & Environment management system.

Companies that are pre-selected will then be invited to submit technical bids. The tender package is available from PDO upon payment of $3000, which is only refundable on submission of a complete technical bid.

A technical and commercial pre-qualification exercise may be carried out on contractors with the lowest technically approved and commercially viable bid.
