Empire State International Division:
Our network of offices does not stop at our borders, but extends throughout the world. We offer you access to our international offices as part of our extensive effort to help you penetrate world markets. We also provide the experts to tell you how to do it. New York State is the second most important state in the United States for foreign investment. More than 3,000 internationally based firms have operations here. We assist firms in establishing themselves in New York State and finding sites, joint venture partners and strategic alliances. United States Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service:
The Foreign Agricultural Service of the USDA works to improve foreign market access for U.S. products. The FAS operates programs designed to build new markets and improve the competitive position of U.S. agriculture in the global marketplace. http://www.fas.usda.gov

The Global Trade and Technology Network (GTN) is a free of charge global trade program designed to assist small and medium-sized US and foreign firms to engage in international business. GTN identifies and facilitates business-matching opportunties through an internet-based trade-lead system. In the fiscal year ending October 2002, this program generated over $40-million dollars worth of transactions. GTN facilitates trade in all industry sectors, assisting firms in over 39 countries spread through Asia, Africa, the Near East, sub-Saharan Africa, Central and Southeast Europe, Eurasia, Latin America and the Caribbean. It is free to all users and is a function of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Hudson Valley:
The Westchester County Association: Where Westchester Meets the World. In
partnership with the Westchester County Office of Economic Development, the
WCA promotes trade for Westchester and mid-Hudson valley companies. Through
its World Trade Council of Westchester, the WCA organizes international programs and provides a forum for networking and business development for those companies and individuals involved in international business.

Hudson Valley International Trade Association: The HVITA's mission is to provide the information and resources needed to succeed in the international marketplace. Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce:
The Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization in Northern New York, serving more than 1200 members in the Plattsburgh-North Country-Champlain Shores Region. It is a full service chamber and is home to several targeted membership councils and programs, including the Champlain Shores Visitors & Convention Bureau, the North Country Small Business Council, the North Country Industrial Council, the Canadian Connection Council, the Northeast Agri-Business Association, the N.F.P. Hauppauge Industrial Association (HIA): The HIA, formed in 1978 and located on Long Island, is a non-profit business association with approximately 800 members. http://www.hia-li.org

Long Island Association/World Trade Council: The Long Island Association (LIA)is the area's largest business association. Its World Trade Council represents the members who have an interest in International Trade. Long Island Forum for Technology: The Long Island Forum for Technology (LIFT) is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to supporting economic development on Long Island by providing direct services to local business and industry. LIFT also sponsors and ongoing series of professional educational meetings and seminars for the region's technical and manufacturing companies. LIFT is sponsored by the New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research (NYSTAR) as the Technology Development Organization (TDO) for Long Island, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology as a Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). http://www.lift.org

Long Island Import Export Association: The Long Island Import Export Association (LIIEA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 to serve to international business community on Long Island. Nassau County Department of Economic Development:

The Nassau County Department of Economic Development promotes sustainable economic development that will create high-wage jobs, and expand the tax base. Suffolk County Department of Economic Development:
