The "A B Cs" of Financing & Expanding Your Exports
Is your company having trouble locating trade finance
institutions that are lending?
In the current market, more and more small and
medium sized businesses are having difficulty
working with institutions that are willing and able to
supply trade finance options to support U.S. exports. While
the orders may be there, the capital to execute the agreements is
not.
With this pressing need for financing options, on
Tuesday, March 30, 2010, the New York U.S. Export Assistance
Center, with sponsorship and support from the Weissman Center for International Business, the
Minority Business Development
Agency and the New York District Export Council,
will host a seminar focused on introducing local exporters to the
available financing, both traditional and alternative, to local
companies. In addition, at the conclusion of the seminar,
there will be matchmaking opportunities for companies to meet
one-on-one with potential lenders for approximately 20
minutes.
This Seminar Will Provide Participants with:
- A background of on how the U.S. Government can help finance export transactions with updates from representatives of the SBA and EX-IM Bank.
- A firsthand look from actual lenders about the options and methods available from banks and what the lenders are looking for.
- Insight on the role of a broker to finance and insure transactions.
- A look into the alternative financing options via letters of credit and factors.
- Matchmaking opportunities for prearranged 20 minute one-on-one meetings with lenders and alternative financing companies.
This seminar is a MUST attend if:
- Your organization is in need of exploring trade financing options.
- You have not been successful in getting traditional financing and are looking for other methods.
- You’re still uncertain of the programs the U.S. Government can offer your company in assisting with trade finance.
