The U.S. Commercial Service operates within the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration and our mission is to create prosperity by strengthening the competitiveness of U.S. industry, promoting trade and investment, and ensuring fair trade and compliance with trade laws and agreements.

With an international network comprised of trade specialists and commercial officers in over 100 offices in 80 countries, the U.S. Commercial Service is the premier organization to serve the needs of U.S. exporters and help them succeed in overseas markets.  

As one of over 100 domestic office of the U.S. Commercial Service, the U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC) of Northeast Ohio covers the exporting needs of companies in 28 Ohio counties.  The Northeast Ohio USEAC handles this enormous client base, from both a centrally located Cleveland office and a satellite office in Akron, Ohio.

Our Offices seek to provide comprehensive solutions to international trade challenges while helping U.S. firms realize their export potential through a range of services that

• provide expert counseling, advice, and advocacy,
• produce research on overseas markets and industries,
• promote companies' products and services in overseas markets, and 
• find international partners (agents, distributors, JV, licensing, etc.)

We combine these services with our global network and trade finance expertise along with programs from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Export-Import Bank of the United States to help make your company successful in exporting.  We also host and coordinate with our partner organizations to host leading trade events.
