Expo-Belta March 20, and 21 2010, is the largest international education forum in Brazil. This year, the United States is the "Guest of Honor" at Expo-Belta. As such, there are special incentives for U.S. schools to participate. The U.S. Commercial Service in Sao Paolo, Brazil is working with the trade show organizer to provide U.S. educational institutions a high level of exposure before and during the event.
Read the U.S. Commercial Service's recent report on recruiting students from Brazil.
There are two options for Study New Jersey educational instititutions to participate:
1) The most effective method is for each individual school to purchase a 6 sqm booth and send up to 2 representatives to the event . The cost of the booth is $2200 if registration is confirmed by December 20.
2) Study New Jersey members can also participate in a consortium booth (6 sq meters) by each school contributing $400. The final cost will be determined by the final number of schools that participate in the consortium, however at least 15 schools would need to participate to cover expenses.
What are the incentives for joining in the Study New Jersey consortium booth?
1) Representation of your institution through the Study New
Jersey Website and marketing materials at the
booth. Your school name and information will be included in
the hand-out materials.
2) Your school brochures and marketing
materials distributed to students during the event.
3) Study NJ website will receive a link on the U.S.
Embassy's education homepage.
4) An excel spreadsheet of students that expressed
interest in your school or fit your profile.
5) Study New Jersey materials distributed at Education USA
Advising Centers in Brazil.
Before the event, U.S. Commercial Service representatives will
have a conference call with each school to understand the basic
services that can be provided to international students. Each
school should also prepare an FAQ for U.S. Commercial
Service representatives to answer questions during the
event.
You must be a member of Study New Jersey in order to participate! If you are interested in participating, please fill out the below expression of interest form before November 24, 2009.
