Secretary Locke unveils details of national export initiative: Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke talked about Obama administration's plans to promote U.S. exports. In his remarks he said, "U.S. exports as a percentage of GDP are still well below nearly all of our major economic competitors.” He said the administration plans to create an Export Promotion Cabinet, composed of leaders from the U.S. Trade Representative, Small Business Administration, Export Import Bank, and Commerce, State, and Agriculture Departments.
