Kazakhstan: Trade and Investment at the Crossroads of Eurasia
The Asia Society, in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan and the US-Kazakhstan Business Association, is hosting a conference that will take a closer look at the key investment challenges and issues related to Kazakhstan’s economic reforms and growth as the country prepares for accession to the World Trade Organization in 2008 and the chair of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in 2010. As Central Asia becomes increasingly vital geopolitically, Kazakhstan is poised to become the strategic destination for investment and a bridge for trade between East Asia and the West.
