Show Description: Founded in 1981, The American Film Market (AFM)  is the largest motion picture export trade show in the world and is ranked #167 on the Trade Show Week 200 in 2007.  AFM is an annual event where over 8,000 participants converge in Santa Monica for 8 days of screenings, deal-making and hospitality.  Hundreds of completed films are licensed for distribution to distributors around the world, and many more projects will find production financing through pre-sales, co-production arrangements and bank loans, all negotiated at the AFM.  Over USD $800 million in export licensing agreements are closed annually during the AFM.

The AFM is the only export trade show for motion pictures in the Western Hemisphere. 

Product Categories:  Exhibitors at the AFM are selling and licensing rights to feature films.  Some also offer movies made for television.
