Commercial Service Dublin staff teamed with the VisitUSA Committee for a tourism reception on October 2, 2009. 

Senior Commercial Officer Stephen Anderson, Commercial Specialist Finola Cunningham and Intern Joseph Lonek welcomed attendees to the Deerfield Residence, home of U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, Daniel Rooney.  

Despite the tourism downturn during the recession, attendees were hopeful and confident that America will continue to be one of the most popular destinations for Irish travelers. Ambassador Rooney gave a welcome speech and praised the work Ireland has done for promoting America as a tourist option.

Attendees spent three days in Dublin for training sessions and a weekend consumer show promoting travel and tourism.
