Canada and Mexico are the number one and two trading partners of the United States, AND INDIANA. The North American Free Trade Agreement gives the buying customer a reduced import duty as an incentive to buy from NAFTA-qualifying vendors and manufacturers and is the base for subsequent U.S. Free Trade Agreements.
The Canadian Importers and Exporters Association estimates over 50% of the NAFTA Certificates of Origin are completed incorrectly. The cost is time and money with delays at the border in addition to audits by Customs, and financial liability to you and your company. DON’T LET YOUR COMPANY BE ONE OF THEM!
WHAT TO EXPECT
How to qualify your product for NAFTA including:
- Information on interpreting HS tariff classification, tariff rate differentials & NAFTA Rules of Origin
- Regional value content calculations, tariff shifts, and Preference Criterion
- An easy-to-understand, step-by-step explanation of how to complete the analysis and the NAFTA Certificate of Origin
