The UK is one of the World’s largest markets for defense and homeland security technology outside of the U.S. In 2005-2006, the UK Ministry of Defense placed over 26,000 contracts with industry, valued at over $36.4 billion.

Over 25% of the UK defense industrial base is foreign-owned, and many leading U.S. companies are well represented in the market. Excellent opportunities exist for U.S. exporters in a number of areas including border security, counter terrorism, force protection, simulation and secure communications.

At each show, our U.S. Product Literature Center will enable you to display your brochures to the large number of visitors to our U.S. Commercial Service stand. This provides you with an important ‘window on the market’ which our staff can help develop by capturing interested trade leads.

DSEI featured over 1,200 companies from 36 countries in 2005, and the show was attended by over 25,000 trade visitors and 86 official delegations from 52 countries. This year’s event will again feature a major U.S. Pavilion, organized by the Association of the United States Army.

ISNR, previously known as Airport, Port and Transportation Security, is one of Europe’s leading venues for border and transportation security, intelligence, critical national infrastructure protection, and emergency preparedness and response. ISNR is the first European exhibition with official participation from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
