China Education Catalog Roadshow (Feb. 19-26, 2009)

The U.S. Commercial Service has organized the "China Education Catalog Roadshow" to assist U.S. universities with promoting their institutions in three target markets: Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shenyang. This cost effective program offers a unique recruiting opportunity for U.S. education institutions seeking partners and to recruit students from Hong Kong, South and Northeast China via catalog.

Option A

Includes catalog promotion of your institution at the Hong Kong Education and Career Expo's U.S. Pavilion by the U.S. Commercial Service in Hong Kong (February 19-22, 2009).

The Education and Careers Expo is an annual event jointly organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Labor Department. It is a an international forum for educational institutions, commercial organizations, government bodies and professional associations to disseminate up-to-date information on education and career opportunities to students and the working public of Hong Kong.

Highlights:

  • In 2007, 498 exhibitors attracted 190,000 visitors over 4 days
  • The event receives strong media attention each year
  • The Labor Department coordinates with Hong Kong's secondary schools in recruiting local students to the event

Participation Fee: $300.00

Option B

Catalog promotion of your institution in three top Guanzhou international schools and your catalogs displayed at an evening reception with agents and educators from Southern China (February 23, 2009).

Also included is a catalog show in Shnyang, a region of China that has a high concentration of higher education institutions, yet comparatively lower exposure to U.S. Universities (February 26, 2009). The program intends to reach out to a targeted group of local university representatives and study agents.

Participation Fee: $350.00
