The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC) in Columbus, OH, offers full-time internships during Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. Part-time applicants must be able to commit to at least 16-20 hours a week during a minimum of two full business days.
Applicants for the Intern positions should be undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in international business and/or marketing. They also must have good customer service, writing, and computer skills. Conditions of the Internship Position
A USDOC Internship Applicant must be:
1. A U.S. citizen
2. At least 18 years of age
3. A full or part time student, enrolled in a degree-seeking
program at an accredited academic institution with a
minimum of 3.0 GPA.
Internships are contingent upon the successful completion of
a:
1. Reference check
2. Pre-employment security interview
3. Pre-employment FBI name check
4. FBI background investigation for positions lasting longer than
90 days
If selected, interns agree to secure a sponsor from their college or university to sign an agreement between our Government agency and the academic institution.
