It's time to prepare for IWA 2008, the 35th international trade fair for hunting and sporting arms, outdoor articles and accessories, taking place March 14-17, in Nuremberg, Germany. In 2007, more than 1,000 exhibitors with an international share of over 70 % presented their products and services to more than 30,000 trade visitors from over 100 nations. The international share of visitors is about 60 % – which makes IWA & OutdoorClassics in the Exhibition Center Nuremberg a truly multinational occasion for U.S. companies.
How we can support you at IWA 2008
The U.S. Commercial Service is offering a wide range of support
services for U.S. exhibitors at IWA 2008. The Exhibitor
Support Program as well as the International Promotion
Program provide high-quality free-of-charge services that
pro-actively complement your company's presence at the
show.
The American Business Center, being offered for the first
time at IWA, provides U.S. companies a full-service forum to
successfully work the showfloor without being a full range
exhibitor at this year's sold out show.
Exhibitor Support Program
The Exhibitor Support Program is focused on the German market. We offer:
- Focused email promotion of U.S. exhibitors to local contacts in the hunting and sporting guns industry (free)
- Product listing on BuyUSA.gov Germany to generate additional leads (Featured U.S. Exporter for USD 40)
- On-site counseling, market research, interpreting, and logistics assistance (free)
- Follow-up with leads after the show at your request (free)
International Promotion Program
Due to its highly international visitor structure and located in the center of Europe, IWA holds great prospects for U.S. companies to reach the wider European and international markets. At IWA 2008 we are partnering with our colleagues in other European countries who will provide the following free-of-charge services and resources for their individual markets:
- Focused email promotion of U.S. exhibitors to their contacts
- Market briefers of their individual markets
- Lists of key distributors, contacts and websites
Those Commercial Specialists who are attending IWA are also ready to personally counsel U.S. exhibitors on their markets during the show.
American Business Center
For the first time our activities at IWA include an American
Business Center (ABC). The ABC is a fully equipped Business
Center housing up to 10 U.S. participants. It is suited for U.S.
companies who want to exhibit at IWA but elect not to have a
booth or could not get one due to the fact that the show is
already sold out.
The ABC provides an office away from home including internet
access and office equipment. It is a meeting point, a place to
discuss business and show your product or describe your service
to potential business partners. Each company can be assigned a
full time bilingual assistant to help them at the show
with translating, interpreting, setting up appointments,
delivering literature to booths, or obtaining marketing
information on other exhibitors or competitors.
The U.S. Commercial Service will also have a Business Information
Office within the U.S. pavilion where we will display product
literature of the ABC participants. ABC participants
are also eligible for free of charge participation in the
Exhibitor Support and International Promotion
programs that we offer to regular U.S. exhibitors.
In order to match companies' individual objectives, the ABC is offered in three pricing versions:
Full ABC - $ 1,800
As described above.
Fully equipped office space, including Internet access and
beverage catering + full time bilingual assistant + display of
product literature in the U.S. pavilion + show catalog entry
(print supplement and online) + 100 entry coupons for guest
visitors + counseling by international Commercial Specialists who
attend the show
ABC without company attendance - $ 1,500
You stay at home and have us do the work. Trade leads will
be forwarded to you.
Full time bilingual assistant + display of product literature in
the U.S. pavilion + show catalog entry (print supplement and
online)
ABC without bilingual assistant - $ 900
You attend personally but don’t need a personal assistant.
Same as full ABC, without assistant

*Note on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): Both the U.S.
Commercial Service and Nuremberg Trade Fairs International are
proactively engaged in defending American companies against
counterfeit and copyright infringement. Please see our guidelines
about IPR at Trade Fairs in Europe on our website. It
shows how exhibitors can be supported on this very important
subject.
