The Global Environmental Team organized client outreach and prescheduled meetings at the Water Environment Federal 79th Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference from October 21-25, 2006.

Although not a formal ShowTime program, the Global Environmental Team was able to use this new website to promote and register companies for one-on-one meetings with five Commercial Specialists from South Korea, Philippines, Iraq/Jordan,  Mexico, and Bulgaria attending the show. The Team was able to schedule these Commercial Specialists over 20 meetings amongst 9 companies. As a result of the foreign buyer matchmaking efforts & client outreach, several clients are already in discusssion with delegates to formalize business agreements and further pursue projects.

The Team promoted the U.S. Trade Development Agency sponsored Sub-Sharan Africa Water Sector Briefing, which involved the participation of two Commercial Specialists from Commerical Service posts in Dakar, Senegal and Nairobi, Kenya. As a result of counseling of the show floor, the ET Team reached a total of 223 exhibitors, including new client leads and current clients.

Additionally, a last minute market briefing was organized for Senior Commercial Officer Andrew Wylegala (Iraq) and Tim Wang (Iraq Reconstruction Task Force, MAC, HQ) in the Global Business Center, including two Iraqi delegates.

At the request of Commercial Service Manila, the Team arranged two site tours at the Dallas Bachman Water Treatment Plant and Dallas Elm Fork Water Treatment Plant for the 32 Philippine delegates.
