ACE09 may be over, but these 41 fine US companies on the Online Exporters Directory remain open and eager for international business, as are the 10 participants of the inaugural International Marketing Forum.

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) held its Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE)--one of the water sector's most important trade shows of the year--  June 14-18, 2009 in San Diego, CA.  As in years past, the Global Environmental Team was invited by AWWA to deliver iits Show Time program, publish an online export directory, hold a series of three country-market seminars, and this year pilot its first International Marketing Forum.

Commercial Specialists from the Czech Republic, Romania, Mexico, Singapore, Jordan and the Ukraine participated in ACE09, as did representatives from the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), the Export Import Bank of the US and the US Small Business Administration.

Through the traditional Show Time program the Team delivered 70 counseling sessions to 23 different US companies.

Further, the Team published 41 US companies in the Online Exporters Directory. 

The Seminar Series--with sessions on Mexico, Jordan and Asia--attracted nearly 235 participants.

Finally, the Team held its first International Marketing Forum. Click here to see the profiles of the 10 US companies  that participated in the inaugural Forum.  These companies were provided 30-minute time slots to give technical sales presentations to international buyers in a private meeting room. International delegations from Brazil, Jordan and Mexico attended the Forum which ran throughout the day resulting in several strong business leads for each U.S. company presenting. In addition, US Commercial Service staff from the US and abroad also attended many of these sessions to learn more about U.S. water technologies to be better positioned to promote them around the world.
