Low-Cost Entry to European Market
Berlin – It's time to prepare for ILA Berlin Air Show 2008. ILA 2008 is taking place May 27th-June 1st at Schoenefeld Airport in Berlin, Germany. The bi-annual show will be this year’s leading marketing platform for the aerospace industry in Continental Europe. Once again, it will bring the world’s main industry players to Berlin and create an environment that fosters deal making. ILA 2008 showcases the following sectors: commercial aviation, general aviation, defense and security, engines and materials and the International Suppliers Center (ISC). Other high-profile offerings are the HeliCenter, the General Aviation Avenue and the new Corporate Aviation Center (CAC). Moreover, the show will be accompanied by some 100 conferences.
The previous event attracted 115,000 trade visitors and 4,100 media representatives from 75 countries. On the exhibitor side, a total number of 1,014 companies, of which 40% or 405 came from countries other than Germany, presented their products on a total area of 1 million sq feet of indoor and 1.5 million sq feet of outdoor exhibition space. The United States provided the highest number of foreign trade visitors from outside of Europe.
ILA 2008 has once more received official certification from the U.S. Department of Commerce, underlining the importance of this trade fair as a venue for U.S. technology. Together with our office in Munich, Germany, the U.S. Commercial Service Aerospace & Defense Team is offering two cost-effective and convenient ways for U.S. companies to participate at this important event. Use our support services and make the best of ILA 2008!
