TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS COPPER CABLES FOR THE PRIMARY NETWORK
The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CyTA) requests the supply of telecommunication copper cables for the primary network. CyTA will use the cables for its primary network and they should be suitable for laying direct in the ground or drawing in ducts.

NICOSIA RING ROAD CONSTRUCTION
The Government of Cyprus (GOC), through its Ministry of Communications and Works (Public Works Department) is planning the construction of a new Nicosia ring road. This is a major infrastructure project aimed at easing the current traffic congestion. A four-lane, 32 km, ring road will connect the Nicosia-Limassol highway to the Nicosia-Troodos motorway, as well as, serve as an outlet for the secondary road network.
DAM DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
The Water Development Department (WDD) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and the Environment plans to release a tender in mid-2009 for the construction of a dam in the Solea valley. The tender is expected to require the dam to have a capacity of 4.5 million cubic meters of water. The purpose of the project is to provide water to the Solea valley, which surrounds the Linou-Flasou area and has had limited access to water for the last forty plus years. The Government expects to start construction of the dam by the end of 2009 and complete the project within the next 2.5 years. The estimated cost of the project is 22 million Euro (approximately USD 29 million depending on the currency exchange rates).
