The Gold Key Service is designed to give U.S. companies the advantage of local expertise to schedule meetings with pre-screened potential agents, distributors, or other business contacts, according to the firm's needs. The service includes:
- 4-6 meetings per day (research necessary to identify potential agents/distributors, contacting all potential prospects, a schedule of appointments with interested parties)
- Services of a Commercial Specialist or trade aide to accompany the firm to appointments
- Market research (if available)
- Embassy market briefing
- Welcome kit
- Hotel reservations at preferential rates (where possible)
Embassy will arrange for a car and driver and/or for a translator/interpreter at additional cost if desired. Unless prior arrangements are made, the U.S. company is responsible for paying the service provider directly for these charges.
Lead-time is negotiable for the Gold Key Service but it is generally 4-6 weeks after receipt of 10-15 sets of brochures, completed Gold Key form and payment is received.
The pricing for a Gold Key effective May 1, 2008 is:
- Small Medium Company -SME $700.00
- Large Company $2,300.00
- SME - New to Export (using the service for the first time): $350.00
