The U.S. Commercial Service in Beijing, China is pleased to invite American companies providing security technologies and equipment to develop their business prospects in the burgeoning market of the People’s Republic of China by displaying their company literature in the U.S. Commerce Department booth at the Security China 2004 Exhibition on November 4-6, 2004. Please ensure your products and services, and even your promotional literature conform to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which regulate the export and reexport of most commercial items and even promotional materials and seminars. The kinds of security related products and services at this November 4-6, 2004 show are likely to be on the U.S. Commerce List that require an export license to China. Further, some of the equipment could be on the U.S. Munitions List and would be sanctioned. Make sure you and your company are aware of these restrictions. Please contact the U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) to assist you and your company regarding this effort via (202) 482-4811 or http://www.bis.doc.gov
Approved by China's Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Science & Technology, Security China 2004 is organized to furnish a stage for various security manufacturers and dealers both home and abroad to display their products and achievements. This exhibition serves to promote technical exchange between Chinese and foreign companies, resulting in more effective equipment for public safety and security institutions worldwide.
The U.S. Commercial Service booth will display the promotional literature of American companies interested in penetrating or developing additional business in China. The U.S. Commercial Service will display promotional literature for each company, with the goal of collecting a contact name list of potential Chinese buyers and business partners for each participating company. After the show, each U.S. company exhibitor will be provided with a list of Chinese companies that expressed interest in future contact.
There is a USD 100 fee for displaying your company’s materials in this booth. However, participation in the booth will be limited to the first 20 firms that respond to this invitation.
Our experience shows that Chinese language materials receive the best response from potential Chinese importers and business partners. If you only have English language materials, however, for an additional USD 100 fee, we will be happy to provide a simple Chinese language introduction to your products.
