Event summary:
The U.S. Commercial Service Shanghai worked with Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Association and the Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc. to organize the U.S. Pavilion at the China Refrigeration 2006 from April 11 to April 13 in Shanghai, China. A total of 13 U.S. companies participated in the U.S. Pavilion, covering 20 booths. The Show was very successful and exhibiting U.S. companies all expressed satisfaction with their participation.
Exhibitors in the U.S. Pavilion included both new to market US companies as well as companies with a pre-existing market presence in China. The U.S. Pavilion exhibitors displayed a wide series of U.S. products, components and technologies in the heating, vantilation, air conditioning and refrigeration sectors. Displaying their products in the U.S. Pavilion gave them an excellent chance to maximize the results of market exposure in China Refrigeration 2006 with the strong presence of the national pavilion. According to feedback from the participants, the participants are very satisfied with the support and service provided by CS Shanghai. One company reported 40 leads generated from the show. One company reported 2 pending agreements resulted from the show and one company reported 1 sales leads generated from the show.
Deputy Principal Commercial Officer Jonathan Heimer delivered a well received presentation and talked with the U.S. companies during an IPR briefing organized by ARI.. Commercial Officer Eric Hsu made welcome remarks on the industry get-together reception hosted by the organizor.
On the afternoon of April 13th, FCS Shanghai organized a roundtable on energy efficiency in HVAC&R systems for ARI and AMCA with the Shanghai Energy Conservation and Supervison Center as a side event of the show. The speakers and audience from both U.S. and China side were satisfied with the roundtable and found it informative to all participants.
Commercial Officer Eric Hsu, Commercial Specialists Janet Zhu, Scott Yao and Jerry Qian participated in the show. Commercial Specialist Merry Cao came from Beijing to provide on-site support to the show.
