Event summary:
The U.S. Commercial Service Shanghai organized a U.S. Pavilion at the 2nd Pollutec Shanghai 2006 in Shanghai, China. CS-Shanghai sold 17 booths to 16 U.S. companies. The Show was very successful and exhibiting U.S. companies all expressed satisfaction with their participation.
Exhibitors in the U.S. Pavilion included both new to market US companies as well as companies with a pre-existing market presence in China. The U.S. Pavilion exhibitors displayed a variety of U.S. products, components and technologies in the water, air pollution controll and solid waste disposal sectors. Displaying their products in the U.S. Pavilion gave them excellent opportunity to maximize the results of market exposure in Pollutec Shanghai 2006 with the strong presence of the national pavilion. According to feedback from the participants, the participants are very satisfied with the support and service provided by CS Shanghai. As a direct result of the show, one company has signed up a distributive agreement at the show time and more than 50 leads generated from the show.
CS also arranged a series of events for the U.S. exhibitors, including an environmental market briefing prior to the show, a “Advanced U.S. Evnironmental Technology”seminar day, reception and on-site counciling.
ATC team - CS Scott Yao and CA Jerry Qian helped provide logistics organization and support for the entire U.S. pavilion throughout the show. The reception hosted by Principal Commercial Officer Ira Kasoff provided U.S.exhibitors with more networking opportunities with important Chinese distributors and end users. CS Wang Yi from Guangzhou, CS Diana Liu from CS Guangzhou, CS Chen Ling from CS Shenyang, CS Olevia Yim from Hong Kong and TS Janice Barlow from Philadelphia all came to Shanghai to support U.S. exhibitors and helped arrange match-making meetings for the pavilion.
