Lisa: Good morning. This is Lisa Tang. I am the Commercial
Specialist at the U.S. Commercial Service Shanghai. I am
interviewing today Mr. Nick Tao, Sales and Marketing Manager of
Wuqiao Dapeng Chemical Company, located in Hebei Province, China.
Nick is a past participant to IBP delegation to Informex USA, a
chemical trade show that took place in New Orleans, LA, in
January 2008. The IBP program, the International Buyer Program,
is a U.S. government program in bringing Chinese companies to
attend U.S. trade shows and to source American products. So,
Nick, can you first briefly introduce your company?
Nick: Sure. We are a fine chemical manufacturer of
pigment, rubber additive, and pharmaceuticals. Also we have 3
well organized sites.
Lisa: Does your company have any business with U.S.
companies?
Nick: Yes, we do. We buy some of our raw materials from
the U.S. market, and also we sell finished products to the U.S.
market.
Lisa: As a chemical company in China, from your point of
view, what are the chemical products do you think would Chinese
market require from the U.S.?
Nick: I am not so sure about this. But in my
understanding, we are definitely looking for high purity
chemicals.
