Event Summary:

Golf development in China is steaming ahead at full speed. Following the entry into WTO, and extensive green belts in Beijing at the Olympic Games 2008, golf has been adopted by 2nd and 3rd line cities as the propelling force for metropolitan development. Golf as a sport is increasingly popular, and will exceed 500 golf clubs in 2008.

Reliable sources of the trades estimate a golfer population of over 4.5 millions now, half of which play on vacation or weekends, involving over 2000 golf-related businesses almost in every aspect of life, golf education, golf tour, etc. Business opportunities are tremendous.

Shenzhen is the cradle of Chinese golf, to which golfers around the country aspire to visit. There are totally around 60 golf courses in Guangdong province, and more than 40 courses are located in Shenzhen area. Shenzhen is situated at the center of the Greater China Region, next to Hong Kong and Macau, and is designated as the rejuvenating city. The Pan-Pearl River Delta concept of 9+2 is getting its momentum, claiming an irreplaceable market potential at a population of 430 millions.

To better promote the development of the industry and products for China's golf industry, "The 9th China (Shenzhen) International Golf Expo " will be held currently in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from Sep 15 to 17, 2006.

Founded in 1987, Shenzhen Golf Expo has grown to be one of the leading evenst in China's golf industry and turned out to be an ideal access to the market of China mainland, as well as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao and Southeast Asia. The show of 2006 have been co-organized by China Council For The Promotion of Int’l Trade Shenzhen Sub-council and China Sports Promotion Publication Ltd. The Expo will display all the new products, guests from overseas, buyers and visitors and give the exhibitors the best trading platform.
