Event Summary:

EP China 2005 PavilionThe U.S. Commercial Service Shanghai organized a U.S. Pavilion at the 5th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology (EP Shanghai 2005) in Shanghai, China. CS-Shanghai sold 9 booths to 5 U.S. companies who exhibited in first ever U.S. Pavilion at this event in China. The Show was very successful and exhibiting U.S. companies all expressed satisfaction with their participation.

Exhibitors in the U.S. Pavilion included both new to market US companies as well as companies with a pre-existing market presence in China. The U.S. Pavilion exhibitor displayed a series of U.S. products, components and technologies in the electric power generating, transmission and telecommunication sectors. Displaying their products in the U.S. Pavilion gave them an excellent chance to maximize the results of market exposure in EP Shanghai 2005 with the strong presence of the national pavilion. According to feedback from the participants, the participants are very satisfied with the support and service provided by CS Shanghai. One company reported 3 pending agreements and 50 leads generated from the show. One company reported 2 pending agreements resulted from the show and one company reported 2 sales leads generated from the show.

EP China 2005 Pavilion 1A series of events arranged by Commercial Service served to make the U.S. Pavilion exhibitors feel welcome and valued clients. These events included a welcome briefing prior to the Show, a VIP luncheon sponsored by the tradeshow organizer, opening ceremony and an evening reception, on-site counciling and coffee break.

Commercial Officer Eric Hsu, Commercial Specialists Janet Zhu, Stellar Chu, Juliet Lu, Scott Yao and Jerry Qian participated the show. Commercial Officer David Murphy, Commercial Specialist Marc Chu and Michaele Mei from Beijing visited the show and met with the organizor to discuss further cooperation in 2006.
